Terms & Conditions

These terms govern services provided by Driveways North East of 3 School Court, Durham DH7 7RY. By accepting a written quotation from us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Quotations

All quotations are provided in writing and remain valid for 30 days from issue. Quotations are based on the conditions observed at the time of survey; if site conditions differ materially once work begins (for example failed sub-base, asbestos, hidden services), we will pause work and agree any variation in writing before continuing.

2. Acceptance and deposits

Work is booked into the schedule on receipt of written acceptance. For installations over £3,000, a 20–30% deposit may be requested to cover materials. Deposits are non-refundable if the customer cancels within 14 days of the scheduled start date.

3. Cancellations

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting the quotation, unless you have asked us to begin work within that period. Cancellations after work has commenced are charged for the labour and materials already supplied.

4. Site access and responsibilities

You agree to provide safe and clear access to the work area for the duration of the installation, and to make us aware of any underground services (drains, cables, oil lines) prior to excavation. We are not liable for damage to undisclosed services.

5. Workmanship guarantee

All installations carry a 1-year workmanship guarantee in writing from the date of completion. The guarantee covers defects caused by our workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, vehicles exceeding the design loading, ground movement outside our control, or third-party works.

6. Materials warranty

Manufacturer warranties on materials (resin, blocks, kerbs, drainage) are passed through to you in full and operate alongside our workmanship guarantee.

7. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance is due within 7 days of completion. We accept bank transfer or card payment. Late payment may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.

8. Insurance

We hold comprehensive public liability insurance. A copy of the certificate is available on request.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any element of our work, contact us in writing at northeastresindrivewayspatios@gmail.com. We will respond within 5 working days and aim to resolve any issue within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
