Our story
Lee started laying driveways in the North East over twenty years ago. We've never stopped.
Driveways North East is a Durham-based family business. We help homeowners across County Durham, Tyne & Wear and the Tees Valley replace tired, sunken or unsafe drives with surfaces that hold their shape for the next two decades, not the next two winters.
We specialise in four surfaces: resin bound, block paving, tarmac and natural stone patios. We chose those four deliberately. It's enough variety to suit any property in the North East, but narrow enough that we're genuinely expert in each one, not a jack of all trades who'll lay anything you point at.
Twenty years on the same patch means we know what's under the ground in Durham, what salt air does to edging in Sunderland, and why so many 1970s Washington drives sink within one year. That's not marketing speak, it's the difference between a driveway that lasts and a driveway that doesn't.
